How can you make a difference in the lives of young people?
Here are just a few ways you can help...
VOLUNTEER in
a Club Core Area (The Arts, Character and Leadership
Development, Education and Career Development, Health and
Life Skills, and Sports, Fitness, and Recreation). Have a
talent? Share it with youth at the Club. We also need
people to just help out by being there to supervise the
kids. (All volunteers working with youth are required to be
fingerprinted and have a background check.)
Join our Board of Directors.
Our Board sets policy and helps to keep the Club open by
raising funds and spreading the good news about the Boys &
Girls Clubs of the Colorado River to the community.
Meetings are held at the Bullhead City Unit on the second
Tuesday of each month at 12:00 pm.
Sell tickets to a special
event. We have events
with tickets that need to be sold. Prices range from $1.00
to $100.00. Throughout the year we hold special events to
raise money to better serve our youth. The person to person
contact that you can make will help to expand our list of
possible supporters.
VOLUNTEER to
help at a special event or fundraiser. Chip-in-Fore-Kids
Golf Tournament, the Bids for Kids Auction, the Fiesta,
Thanksgiving Dinner, or any of our special events can always
use more help. Selling 50/50 tickets, collecting auction
items, marketing, and serving food are just a few of the
many ways you can get involved.
Make a DONATION
for tax purposes.
Every cent makes a difference and every cent helps. We are
a 501(c)3 charitable organization. It's a great way to help
the Club and yourself.
DONATE
in-kind services or products. Plumbers, locksmiths,
carpenters, electricians, auto mechanics, landscapers,
computer technicians, accountants, and many other people
could help out tremendously with the numerous maintenance
and upkeep issues we have on a regular basis.
Become an event sponsor or benefactor. We
can always use cash and it is a great cause-related
marketing opportunity for your business. Hole sponsors for
our Chip-in-Fore-Kids Golf Tournament, table sponsors for
the Bids for Kids Auction, advertise on the side of our
van or sponsor an entire event. All are great ways to help.
